Using a slow cooker means you don’t have to pre-heat the oven or worry about the oven being on in the middle of the night. You can just pop your ingredients into the cooker and leave the house. Feel free to add more veggies if you like. You can add more vegetables, including tomatoes, green beans, onions, or peppers. But you can’t use chicken here. If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can easily make this recipe in the oven. You will have to pre-heat the oven for the first hour. This will allow the broccoli and carrots to soften a bit so they cook better. When you’re finished, you’ll have a delicious meal you can enjoy while watching TV.
