This type of citrus is not classified as oranges, because it’s derived from the lemon family, which is also called the Citrus family.
The right way to eat an orange

There’s also an endless variety of ways in which they can be used. Citrus fruits, including oranges, are rich in vitamin C, and the high levels of this vitamin are beneficial to the body. However, the vitamin C in oranges is easily destroyed by exposure to light and air. To preserve the vitamin C, eat oranges within a couple of hours of picking them. You can also buy oranges from a store that is local, rather than a huge produce company. This will help you avoid the middleman and purchase local oranges that have been picked and shipped at their peak freshness.
How to wash the orange
An orange is technically a fruit, but it’s not a fruit you eat. It’s a fruit that’s been grown in a special way to produce an orange. The leaves and fruit of the orange tree aren’t orange at all, and they look different than the fruit we eat. Here is how to wash an orange:
1. Remove the stem from the orange.
2. Cut the orange in half.
3. Use a spoon to remove the seeds.
4. Put the orange halves inside a bowl with warm water.
5. Use your fingers to gently swish the water around the orange halves.
6. Pour the water out of the bowl and repeat this step two more times.
7. Pour the water out of the bowl and place the orange halves in a sink full of cold water.
8. Use your fingers to gently swish the water around the orange halves.
9. Pour the water out of the sink and repeat this step two more times.
10. Pour the water out of the sink and dry the orange halves on paper towels.
11. Cut the top off the orange and use your fingers to pull the orange flesh off the peel.
12. Using a peeler, cut the orange peel into long strips.
13. Using a pastry brush, gently brush the orange flesh with a little orange juice.

An orange is one of the most nutritious and delicious fruits you can eat. Not only is it loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, but it’s also high in fiber and low in calories. Here are some nutritional facts about the orange:
• One medium-sized orange contains over 100% of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of vitamin C, and over 200% of the RDA for vitamin A.
• One orange has almost 5 grams of fiber, which is almost twice the amount in half a cup of cooked oatmeal.
• Orange peels have more fiber than the flesh of the orange, so if you peel it, eat the peel!
• One orange has about 30 calories and about half a gram of fat.
• Not all oranges have the same nutritional value, so be sure to pick one that is ripe and juicy.

Others, such as blueberries, strawberries, and oranges are great because they’re not very popular, but have a lot of nutritional value.
