The microwave is convenient and can cook food quickly, but this method of thawing ground beef takes a long time and requires utensils such as tongs. Not having a microwave can become a nuisance in life. If we want to make quick meals, we have to thaw ground beef by hand.
Freeze Thawing Beef Fast
There are a couple of common ways to freeze and thaw meat. The first is to freeze the meat in a bag and then thaw it later. To do this, you can simply leave it in the fridge overnight or for a few hours. The second method is to freeze the meat with ice packs. To do this, put the meat into a freezer bag and add several ice packs. The ice should be slightly smaller than the meat so it doesn’t cause the meat to freeze to the sides of the bag. After placing the meat into the freezer bag, close the bag, and press the meat to make sure that it is completely frozen. Once it’s frozen, remove the ice packs and put the meat into a bag with a lid. If you use the bag with a lid, it will make thawing much faster.

Thawing Frozen Ground Beef Without the Oven

If you want to use a slow cooker, simply thaw the ground beef and put it in a slow cooker. Put the lid on, and cook it for 5 to 6 hours. This will take the cooking time down to about an hour, which will help you save some time. Alternatively, if you want to thaw the ground beef using a freezer, simply put the meat in a large freezer bag and leave it in there overnight. This will work well for smaller amounts of meat.
