We can also use these tools to measure the amount of various ingredients we should add to our recipes. For example, if we want chicken breast, steak, or broccoli, rather than buying all of those ingredients separately, why not buy them in bulk and put them together in one pan? The useof measuring bowls and spoutsis often used to keep track of quantities of liquids and solids. A measuring cup is usually used for measuring liquids, while a spoon is used mostly for scooping liquid off of plates and bowls. Both types of measuring utensils are used frequently throughout the kitchen. They are also used extensively in scientific research laboratories. There are numerous types available which vary in size and shape. Some are round, some are square, others are flat. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages. Most commonly, both measuring devices are placed in front of you during the measurement process. However, sometimes you may need two separate measuring instruments. When this happens, place the larger measuring device on top of smaller one. Then, hold the two measuring pieces together and move them around to get the measurements you need. You can even use the measuring scale to help you figure out the exact amount you are looking for. Once you have the necessary measurements, simply pour the liquid into the container and shake it well to mix it thoroughly. After mixing, take the measured amount and pour it back into either the large or small measuring vessel. Repeat the same procedure until you reach the desired volume. Lastly, once you’ve finished measuring, transfer the contents of both vessels to clean containers. Store the empty measuring vessels in refrigerator and use them again within a few days. Alternatively, use plastic measuring jars instead of glass ones. Plastic jars are cheaper and easier since they do not require cleaning. As long as the jar is sealed, no air can escape. Be sure to label the jars with what you measured. Never forget to wash the containers every time you use it. Always store the bottles in cool, dry place. Do not store them near hot water or direct sunlight. Use a dark colored container to prevent the light from reflecting on white containers and food. Avoid storing food in direct sunlight. Keep the food away from pets and children. Food should be stored in airtight containers to protect it from insects and other pests. To keep food safe, always refrigerate it immediately after opening. Refrigeration is the safest way for food to stay fresh. Properly refrigerated food keeps longer than unrefrigerated items. Unrefined foods spoil faster than refined ones, so it pays to store foods properly. Try to choose foods that are naturally low in salt. Salt is a natural preservative that helps preserve foods. Foods that contain high amounts of salt are not as healthy as foods with lower amounts. Choose foods without added sugar, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, alcohol, etc. to avoid the risk of tooth decay. Sugar is added to many foods to make them taste better. Artificial sweetener is often added in order to increase the sweetness of foods and beverages. Caffeine is typically added as an additive to coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, chocolate bars, cakes, cookies, candies, ice cream, soft drinks and many other products. Alcohol is generally added for its health benefits.
