Pregnancy is a time of great joy and excitement, but it can also be a time of increased risk for the mother, as well as the fetus. In fact, more than half of all babies born in the U.S. have one or more birth defects. Of course, the best way to avoid having an unhealthy baby is to be healthy yourself. This includes eating right, exercising, and making sure to take the time to relax and take breaks.
How to NOT Gain Weight During Pregnancy
As with so many things during pregnancy, it’s best to simply follow your doctor’s advice. The biggest issue with gaining weight during pregnancy is that your baby needs to be growing quickly. Your baby’s organs and skeleton grow quickly, and your baby needs the extra nutrients. If your baby isn’t receiving the nutrients it needs, they will likely not grow properly and may be small for their age. So, don’t worry if you aren’t a fan of the extra pounds that come with pregnancy. Just keep in mind that being overweight can also put your health at risk.
Exercise While Pregnant
Exercise can help to maintain or increase your pregnancy weight. It also helps you to maintain or improve your fitness during your pregnancy. However, it is important to remember to remain safe. When exercising while pregnant, make sure that you are well-supported and don’t bounce or leap. You should also discuss any risks with your doctor or midwife. They can advise you on how to safely exercise. This includes discussing a safe workout routine, what types of exercises are okay, and how often to exercise.
How to LOSE Weight?
In order to lose weight, you have to use an exercise program that is specifically designed for your fitness level and health goals. If you exercise on a regular basis, then you will be more likely to maintain the weight loss once it is accomplished. Exercise programs are intended to improve the health and quality of life of a person. When your body is working to improve, then the best results will be achieved.
When to Start Exercise
You can start exercise anytime during pregnancy. It’s important to begin slowly and gradually so that you don’t increase your risk of problems or injury. If you feel that you have gained too much weight during pregnancy, you may need to adjust the timing of your exercise.
