You probably know that macaroni and cheese is one of those childhood classics. It’s a dish that seems to make it through the years with hardly any changes in the way it tastes. Yet, here’s the thing—macaroni and cheese has come a long way from its first incarnation. It has been adapted to suit the tastes of all types of people, and macaroni and cheese has become much more than just a simple kids’ meal. It has become a staple in American cuisine.

Slices of Bread
I’ve always had a thing for tuna macaroni salad. The texture of the macaroni and the chunkiness of the tuna are really delicious. There are many different types of macaroni that are great for this dish. A regular macaroni would work just fine. Another option is to use elbows. This is a great, cheap pasta that has a meaty texture. A third option is ziti. This pasta is a thicker variety of the macaroni, and it holds the tuna chunks in place. For tuna macaroni salad, I like to serve it with slices of bread. This is great because it allows you to dip the bread in the salad instead of having to eat the bread with a spoon. To make tuna macaroni salad, you’ll need 2 cups of elbow macaroni, one cup of macaroni salad, 1/2 cup of macaroni salad, one package of tuna, and some Italian salad dressing. First, cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain the macaroni and transfer to a large bowl. Next, add the macaroni salad, tuna, and Italian salad dressing. Gently toss together. Serve and enjoy.
