The Health Benefits of Walnuts
Walnuts are one of the best nuts for your health. They are full of nutrients, including fiber, antioxidants, and minerals. Walnuts are also low in fat and calories. The key to eating walnuts is to eat the whole nut. If you buy them with the shell on, make sure to crack it open. Then, simply remove the nut from the shell and store in a container. You can also buy already toasted walnuts, but be sure to remove them from the container. These toasted walnuts can be added to your salad, sandwiches, or oatmeal.
What Are Walnuts?
Walnuts are native to the Himalayan foothills in the present day border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Due to their high nutritional value, they were cultivated as early as the 6th millennium BCE. They are considered to be a good source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and the antioxidants, flavonoids, and phytochemicals they contain can protect the brain, aid digestion, and reduce inflammation.

How To Make Walnut Toast
Toasted Walnuts are the perfect snack. And there are many different ways you can prepare them. Some people like to use a toaster, while others like to put them in the oven. For a nice crunch, you can toast them on a skillet or even in the microwave. Here’s how to make them. Simply toast the walnuts in a skillet or in a toaster over medium heat. When they’re toasted, sprinkle them with salt and give them a few shakes. You can then eat them as is, but if you’re looking for a variation, you can also serve them with a topping. For instance, you can spread a little butter or avocado on the walnuts, add some sea salt, and enjoy them.
