What is red bean paste made of?

Can I use any red beans for red bean paste?

If your soup needs more water, increase the amount. You can also add some extra vegetables to make it more vegetable-like. Or, adjust the spices to taste. Remember, when you add the beans to cooking, always add them in small amounts. Do not add too much or you will end with mush. Try to keep the ratio of beans and water around 1:2. Add about 1/2 cup of water to 1 cup cooked beans per cup boiling water. Don’t add anything else to cook the mixture. When you’re done, drain the liquid and let it cool. They are also rich in protein and fibre. Eating red beans in small amounts can provide a great source for protein. Red beans are particularly good sources of vitamin B6, vitamin C, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, riboflavin, niacin and pantothenic acid. Some of these nutrients are essential for good health. For example, Vitamin C is needed for healthy blood vessels, while Vitamin B12 is required for proper functioning of red blood cells. Vitamin E is important for maintaining healthy skin.
What can I use instead of red bean paste?
