Glazed donuts are always fun to make but if you want them to be perfect, it can take a little bit of time to get the result you want. So if you’ve ever made donuts in the past, you know that they are quite time consuming and that’s why most of the time, I make them. Rolled Up Glazed Donuts

These glazed donuts are perfect for birthday parties, Christmas parties or any other event where you need to impress your guests. They are also perfect for a group activity because you can roll them up and have everyone take one.
The first thing you will need is a tin or pan. The tin/pan needs to be deep, about 2cm, so you can fit a few biscuits into it. For the icing, I used sugar. I then rolled it up and put the tin in the freezer for about 1 hour. After the hour is up, remove from the freezer and make the icing. Then, make up a glaze. The glaze should be the same consistency as honey and the consistency should be a bit thicker than icing sugar. I then rolled the biscuit back and put them back into the freezer for 20 minutes. When the biscuits are ready, they should be hard and crispy. When you take them out, roll them up and cut into slices. I’ve also included a video of how to make these, but it’s a little too long, so you can find the video below if you want. You can find the recipe below and the ingredients here.

Basic Biscuit Glaze Donuts

This recipe only calls for 1 teaspoon of salt. So if you are a very sensitive person you could make this recipe healthier by adding no salt. If you are wondering why I don’t use regular shortening I use organic coconut oil. It gives the donuts a delicious and buttery taste. They are the perfect sweet treat for breakfast, dessert, or afternoon snack.

How to Make Donuts

Donuts are traditionally made using yeast dough, but this can be labor-intensive. Instead, this recipe uses biscuits, which are a type of sweet biscuit. The end result will be a moist, flavorful donut, and it’s so easy to make, it will be your new favorite donut! Don’t have yeast on hand? You can use baking powder instead. This dough is very sticky, so the combination of the biscuit dough and the yeast will create a sticky dough that is just right. Bake for about 6-8 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool and store as usual.
