We’ll also be enjoying an assortment of holiday-inspired desserts.

Caramel is a delicious sticky sauce that’s sweet and rich. This sweet sauce is a popular topping for ice cream and cakes, but it’s also a delicious addition to other dishes. Date caramel is one of the most popular types of caramel. This type of caramel is a mixture of dates and water, boiled until it’s thick and sticky. When the caramel cools, it’s a bit hard. If you don’t like the hard caramel, you can add a bit of syrup to soften it. To create a perfect date caramel, all you need is date paste, water, and caramel. Date paste is a paste made from dates that’s thick and sticky. Start by making the date paste by blending dates with water. You can use dates from your pantry or you can use dates from your baking supply. The water should be roughly equal parts water and dates. There should be no date pieces. Let the mixture boil until it becomes thick and sticky. After the date paste has cooled, add the caramel to the mixture. If the date paste is too thick for the caramel, it will take a bit more water and sugar. When the caramel is cooled, the date caramel can be used in many different ways. You can use the caramel to create a creamy filling for cakes, ice cream, or you can pour it over your pancakes.

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped pecans
