How To Make Brussel Sprouts In The Air Fryer?

I grew up in a household that made brussel sprouts every single year for the holidays. If you’ve never made brussel sprouts before, it can be a difficult process to master, but in this video, I’ll show you how to make them in the air fryer. Watch the video for all of the details.

Prepping the Vegetables

The first thing you will need to do is to chop the vegetables. Chop the Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces. If the broccoli has strings, you can remove them with your fingers or with a spoon. Remember that you don’t need to cut the Brussels sprouts in half. You can get the same effect by just cutting off the top. Next, cut the green part of the cauliflower and broccoli into 2 inch pieces. If you are using a pack of pre-cut cauliflower, you will need to cut the stems off, and then cut into 2 inch pieces. Now, if your cauliflower is frozen, you need to thaw it before cutting into small pieces. To do this, put the cauliflower in a colander and then run warm water over it for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cauliflower is thawed. If you are using a pack of pre-cut cauliflower, you can cut the stems off, and then cut into pieces.

Step by Step

Let’s move on to making brussel sprouts, which are crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. Cook them in the air fryer for the best results. They’re also a great healthy alternative to french fries, especially if you pair them with your favorite dipping sauce. Air fryers are an affordable way to get a quick and healthy snack. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can cook the sprouts in the oven. Place the cut sprouts in a bowl and pour water over them. Add a pinch of salt to the water and mix it up. Set the air fryer on medium. You can also cook the sprouts in a skillet on the stovetop if you prefer. You’ll need to keep a close eye on them while they cook and flip them over halfway through to ensure they’re evenly cooked on both sides. Once done, drain the sprouts and sprinkle them with salt. The sprouts will be ready when they have cooled. Enjoy!

How to cook Brussels sprouts in the air fryer

Brussels sprouts are some of my favorite vegetables. They’re hardy, tasty and versatile. Brussels sprouts are often cooked either as an entree or a side. If you’re looking for an easy side dish, I love how Brussels sprouts cook up in the air fryer. They’re also one of the easiest vegetables to prepare. The ingredients are simple and the process is fast. I typically prepare Brussels sprouts by blanching them first, then frying them in the air fryer. To blanch Brussels sprouts, just place them in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Remove them from the water and pat dry with a paper towel. Then, fry them in the air fryer at 350 degrees F until they’re golden brown. To make them into a casserole, just toss them into a small baking dish and bake them in the air fryer for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Building up the Sprouts

Making Brussels sprouts is so easy. I love this because they are the perfect “half way-between”. You don’t have to cook them too long, which is a great thing when you have a small group of people. They are tender and don’t get mushy. In the video, I showed you how to build up the sprouts. This means that you add a couple pieces of bacon for more flavor and a great crunch, a little bit of mustard and cayenne for a little kick, and some butter for a little extra richness. You want to saute them just until they are nice and soft. You can cook them longer if you want, but you have to be careful not to let them overcook.

Sprout your way

Those who love sprouts know that you can’t just store them in a bowl of water for a week and expect them to be ready to eat. You need to quickly remove the stems and tails. This will prevent them from going bad and you’ll get a tasty crispy snack. To sprout your way, first wash the sprouts. I’ve found that this goes by the number of sprouts you get. So, for about 12 sprouts, you’ll need about 1 cup of water. You can add some salt for flavor. Place the sprouts in a bowl. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap. Keep the bowl in a warm spot such as near the range. Let the sprouts sprout for 6 to 8 hours or overnight. When the sprouts have sprouted, drain them of any water. This should remove about 20% of the water. After draining, rinse the sprouts. While the sprouts are still damp, drain them of any excess water. If you’re doing this in the air fryer, simply place them in the basket of the air fryer and cook them for 5 minutes. Then remove them from the fryer and drain off the excess water. Then, add some salt and oil. Add about 1/4 cup of oil to the air fryer. Wait a few minutes for the oil to heat up, then turn the air fryer up to medium heat. Once the air
