Once it has thawed, however, simply drain and eat. There are many varieties of fresh or frozen corn available. Some of my favorites are Sweet Corn, Golden Corn and Blue Corn. The following are tips to help you store fresh corns: 1. Wash your corncobs before using them. 2. To do this, take a pair of scissors and cut the cornal stalk from the top of each cob to bottom. 3. Cut the stalk in half lengthwise. 4. Remove the husks and remove any remaining cob ends. 5. Rinse the outside of both sides of every cob with water and soak them for at least 30 minutes – overnight – in cold water to prevent them from drying out. 6. Drain the soaked corneles and put back in their original packaging. 7. Hang them upside down in humid conditions to allow the moisture to evaporate. 8. Do not store them upright in boxes or bags. 9. Always store cornels in glass jars or plastic bags in case of spills. 10. Never store your stored cornes in freezer. 11. Avoid storing them near heat sources. 12. Wrap them tightly in paper towels to keep them fresh. 13. Wipe them dry with clean kitchen towels. 14. Before storing, wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently. 15. The reason why you don’t need any thayses is because the corn will melt away once it reaches the temperature of boiling point. So, no need for any extra steps.
