Steps For Freezing Red Potatoes
You’ll be happy to know that freezing potatoes doesn’t actually affect the taste. Potatoes have a higher moisture content than other root vegetables, and this means that they freeze easily and without any major loss of flavor. You can’t use potatoes for making mashed potatoes, but you can freeze them to use later. You’ll also need a container to store them in. For example, you can use a deep freezer, a Tupperware container, a resealable plastic bag, a freezer box, or any other freezer-safe container. Make sure the container has plenty of space inside. Once you remove the potatoes from the packaging, lay them out on a tray or plate and spread them out evenly. Then, lay the container out on top of the potatoes. You should leave at least an inch or two between the top of the container and the bottom of the potatoes. This space will allow any condensation to drip away from the potatoes. Make sure the potatoes are completely covered with liquid. Some people like to use ice cubes, but this is not necessary. You’ll need to place the container in your freezer for at least 48 hours. As the potatoes freeze, they’ll form a slushy layer. Once the potatoes have frozen, you can either use them straight away or store them in a plastic container. Be careful when you take the container out of the freezer. You’ll need to wait until they are thawed

When you’re ready to use the potatoes, simply pour them into a food dehydrator and let them dry out for eight hours or bake them at 300 degrees for six hours.

Of course, the better the potato or spinach is before you freeze it, the longer it will take to thaw.
