Next, cut about 1/2 inch from each edge of a lemon or lime. Cut the citrus in two halves, both length wise, after slicing it. Lastly, slices it along the length of its axis, which should be perpendicular to its base. You should get a perfectly round wedge of citrus. This is the perfect size for your next bite. If you don‘t want to do this, you could always just use a knife and slice the wedges individually.
How thick should the slices of lime or lemon be?
Cutting the lime slices in halves length wise creates wedgies. Cutting each wedge lengthways again creates long wedged slices. This is how you make a wedge of lime. You can also use this method to make wedgie of any fruit. Just cut it length ways and slice it in two. Then cut each slice in four.
