The Hawaiian cuisine is one of the most diverse of all cuisines. The staple Hawaiian dish is the Pork loin, or Kalua pork. Kalua pork has become a very popular dish throughout the Hawaiian Islands. It is an easy to make, very flavorful and delicious dish that is great for entertaining.

Get the right equipment
Get the right equipment to make your hawaiian pork. First, you’ll need a dutch oven. This will help your pork retain moisture and add flavor. You’ll also need a wok, as this will help your pork cook evenly. A wok has a flat bottom that allows for a good seal and a long handle that makes it easy to maneuver. Also, make sure you have a heavy gauge wire whisk. This will help your sauce or marinade evenly coat your pork.
Huli (Hawaiian) Pork
Huli pork is a Hawaiian-style pork. It is typically cooked over a fire pit and is seasoned with salt, sugar, and alaea (Hawaiian for scallion). The flavor is typically described as “deliciously fragrant, salty and sweet.” Like most pork, the flavor can be improved by marinating. If you are not able to find huli pork, smoked pork shoulder (pork butt) can be used. The marinade recipe for the Hawaiian-style pork is below. Huli pork also typically requires a cooking time of several hours, but can also be cooked in half the time when using a slow cooker.
Pork belly fritters
Hawaiian fried pork is a popular dish in Hawaii. This dish typically uses pork belly. Pork belly fritters, or poke, is a deep-fried pork belly with a stuffing that is similar to a patty. This dish typically uses a raw pork belly with stuffing inside the pork. The pork belly needs to be cooked before it can be used in this dish. The meat is then sliced and fried to create a fritter that is similar to a pork burger. Once the pork belly is sliced, the meat is chopped and mixed with onions and garlic. Some other popular ingredients include corn, ginger and shrimp. Then, the mixture is stuffed inside the pork belly. The pork belly fritter can be made with these ingredients and is typically served with rice, but it can also be served with pineapple, avocado and other toppings.
Pork belly nuggets
The key to preparing amazing pork belly nuggets is in the marinade. Most recipes will focus on a simple marinade, but this recipe uses a more flavorful combination. For this recipe, you’ll need:
3 pounds pork belly
2 cups soy sauce
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sake
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
Heat the oven to 400°F. Rinse the pork belly and pat dry. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well. Rub the pork belly all over with the marinade. Place in a baking pan, cover and refrigerate for 8 hours. Remove the pork from the fridge and remove the excess marinade, and pat the pork dry. Place in a roasting pan, and cook for 15 minutes at 400°F. Turn down to 350°F, and cook for 15 minutes. Turn oven to 375°F. Cook for 30 minutes. You can now cut the pork into nuggets. Serve with a sweet and sour sauce.
