Why couscous is bad for you?
Although couscasin contains low levels of glucose, this is far lower than that found within other whole grains. This is because the starch in rice and wheat is digested slowly, allowing the body to absorb the carbohydrates much more quickly. However, couscin is high carb, which is why it can cause blood sugars to spike. For those with diabetes, eating too many carbs can lead to spikes in blood glucose levels.
