Step by step
This chicken stew is a classic in China, and most people enjoy it with rice. However, if you’re looking for a lighter dish, this version is made with a lot of vegetables. If you don’t have a pressure cooker, you can skip the pressure cooker step and just simmer the stew. You’ll be able to get a nicer flavor if you use fresh onions. You’ll also want to leave the skin on the chicken. This will give you a more flavorful meat.
Recipe
This simple chicken stew recipe is so easy to prepare, and it only takes 45 minutes to cook. Chicken stew is a meal that’s filled with healthy carbs, like potatoes. This means it will give you a steady source of energy. You can prepare this recipe using skinless chicken thighs. However, it will work just as well using skinless chicken breasts. You can serve this as a main meal, or serve it as part of a healthy weeknight meal plan. Simply cook the stew in a large pot. Add the chicken, and all the other ingredients to the pot. Stir everything together, and leave the pot on the stove for 40 minutes. Next, add the vegetables to the pot, stir everything together, and cover the pot to allow the stew to continue to cook. If you wish to serve it with a side, simply add a side to the pot. This can be fresh steamed broccoli, or simply steam some new potatoes.
