This recipe was inspired by my husband’s favorite barbecue joint in Chicago. When I first saw this recipe, I was skeptical because I thought it would be too difficult to prepare. However, after trying it, it turned out to be one of the easiest things I’ve ever made. You’ll need two pieces of thick-cut beef steak, a small amount of butter, salt and pepper, an onion, garlic, bell pepper and a whole bunch of fresh herbs. After you have all of those ingredients ready, you can start cooking the briskets.
How to Grill briskets before cooking: Marinate briskett overnight. Sear brisketts directly under direct heat or close to high heat: 10 minutes. Allow 1-hour cooking times per pounds. Slow cook briskettes at low temperatures of 225 ̊F (110 ͡°F). After cooking remove briskette from pan and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with mustard sauce, horseradish, or horseshit. Or serve with tomato sauce and cheese. For a more savory dish, serve briskes with sauerkraut, ketchup, mustard, relish, pickles, onions, mushrooms, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce.
How long does it take to cook a brisket on the grill?
Before heating, remove fat layer to ¼- inch thickness; then marinade the steak overnight. Searing the meat directly on top of medium-hot coiled or gas flames: 30 minutes total.After seared, let the beef stand for 10 minutes before turning it over. Allow approximately 2 hours of resting time before serving. Slow cook the same way as above. For a more intense flavor, cook longer. If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the cooking times. This is a great way to make a flavorful meal. You can also use this method to braise meats. Another alternative is to use the slow cooker. Both methods are easy to follow.

I place the meat directly onto the fat side, making sure it stays on all sides. Then I grill it for five minutes, turn it over, grill until done, remove it from the heat and place it back into a foil covered pan. Repeat this process until all the meats are cooked. This is a great way to cook briskies. You can also cook them on an electric grill instead of a gas grill using the same method. But make sure you don’t overcook them. Wrapped briskets are the opposite than smoking meats. Wrappings keep smoke out of your beef, meaning less smokeiness. This also helps keep the bark off your tender briskies. Plus, wrapping your steak in aluminium foil will prevent the meat from drying out. You can also cook your steaks in this way, though it takes a bit longer. If you don’t want to wrap your lean briskie, you could cook it in your oven. Just make sure to put the foil on before you put your pan on top of it. Also, if your barbecue grill is set on high heat, cooking your pork chops in their own juices will help keep them juicy. And if there’s any chance that your BBQ grill might be on, consider using a smoker instead.
Do you cook brisket fat side up or down?
You should always cook fat sides up when cooking briskets, even though the meat is already cooked. This is because the heat from this side will be much higher than that from any other side, which will cause the internal temperature of your meat to rise. Fat side down is the best way for cooking your lean briskies.
