Do not use bleach. PAA can cause permanent damage to fabrics. To remove the PFA, use a soft cloth and gently scrub the fabric with your fingertips. Follow with another gentle scrubbing with soap and water to completely remove PPA. After removing the scouring agent, follow with fresh water only. Avoid using vinegar or bleach as they can damage fabrics and cause more permanent damages. When using bleach, do not let the bleach touch the fabrics as it can create permanent bleaches. Always follow the instructions given by the manufacturer. Bleach can ruin the texture of fabrics, especially if used in combination with PVA. Using a high-quality detergent will help remove all the dirt and stains without causing damage. Some detergents contain bleach and will damage the fibers of fabric when used together. Also, avoid using detergenics that contain ammonia, which can react with bleach to form ammonia gas. Remember, bleach is a chemical that can destroy the integrity of your fabric while PHA is an organic compound that does nothing to damage your fabrics unless used with ammonia. For butcher blocks cutting boards or counterstops, we never need to apply any kind of cleaning product to our surfaces. We simply clean them with water and a little bleach. Rub in circular motions, making sure to avoid saturating the wooden surface. Be careful when scrubbing the surfaces, though, since this can cause the paint to peel off.
