How to check the pork for doneness in Instant Pot
I cook a lot of pork loin in my Instant Pot and every time I forget how to tell when it’s cooked. Well here are the steps for checking to make sure your pork is cooked to perfection.
Set the cooking function for high pressure and set the valve to sealing.
Add the pork to the instant pot.
Adjust the cooking time.
Here is how to check for doneness in the Instant Pot.
•Stir the meat every 20 minutes or so. This way you’ll notice if there’s a crust forming on the bottom.
•The key is to find the perfect medium rare, which is 155 degrees Fahrenheit. If you go too hot it will get dry and if you go too cold, it will be too soft.
•When the pork is done, set the pressure valve to release.

What is Instant Pot?
The instant pot is a multi-use cooker. It comes with an insulated pot, measuring cup, and lid. You press the button on the front and a lid pops off, making it easy to pour in ingredients. There are two ways to use it. You can cook it to pressure, or you can cook it normally. Using it to cook under pressure is a new and different way to cook, and it can speed up the cooking process. It works by using steam to pressurize the pot, so it’s not a pressure cooker. It’s not meant to replace regular cookware, but it can help you cook different types of foods quicker.
How to cook the pork in Instant Pot
For the Instant Pot recipe, you will need:
-1/2 pound of pork loin
-1/2 cup of apple cider
-1/2 teaspoon of rubbed sage
-1/4 teaspoon of cayenne
-2 teaspoons of salt
-1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
-1 teaspoon of ground mustard
-1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin
-1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
-1/2 teaspoon of paprika
-2 cloves of garlic
-1/4 cup of olive oil
-3/4 cup of water
Put the pork loin in the Instant Pot and add the apple cider and the sage. Use the 10-minute method to cook the pork loin, and let it cool. When the pork loin has cooled, stir in the cayenne, salt, black pepper, and mustard. Pour the olive oil and the water into the Instant Pot. Add the garlic, the cumin, the onion powder, and the paprika. Mix it together and then close the Instant Pot and let it cook for 20 minutes. Stir the pork loin in the Instant Pot and press cancel. Remove the clove of garlic and discard it. Let the Instant Pot come to pressure, and then release the pressure. Let the Instant Pot cool, and then cut the pork loin into 3/4-inch slices.
