We do NOT recommend using water in place of water when cooking a bird. If you are going to cook a whole bird, we recommend cooking it in drier conditions. This will make the bird more tender and juicy. However, if there is no alternative, this is the best way to go. You can also cook the turkey in dryer temperatures, which will result in better flavor and juiciness. But, again, you should not add water during the cooking process. That would be a recipe for disaster. As for drizzling the dripped juices over the top of cooked turkey, that might be okay, depending on how much you want to add. We don‘t recommend it.
