How To Thaw A Ham

Why 11 pound Ham

To cook a 11 pound ham you’ll need to find a 12-12.5″ water pan or roaster, a solution of 2% sodium acid pyrophosphate (SAPP), and a 100 gallon brine tank. 11 Pound Ham Cooking Time

For this recipe, you need a 11 pound ham. There are 3 main methods of preparing a ham, all of which are done at a low temperature, which is the same temperature as a slow cooker.
1. To cook it in the oven, place the ham in a shallow pan, cover it with apple juice, and bake it at 250° for 3-4 hours.
2. To cook it in a slow cooker, place the ham in a slow cooker, cover it with apple juice, and cook it on low for 8-10 hours.
3. To cook it on the stove, place the ham in a deep roasting pan, cover it with apple juice, and cook it in a 325° oven for 4-5 hours.
