Once cooked chili last up until 3 – 4 days (in the refrigerator) in my fridge. Anything longer, however, means it needs to be moved to frozen storage. I’ve used chili in this way for years, so I’m confident it will hold up well. So once I cook it again, using the same recipe minus the chili powder, half the amount, or even less, should work just fine. And if I need to add more chili, all I have do is add a little more of whatever I want to taste. But I don’t recommend adding more than about 2 tablespoons of chili per serving.
