This is especially true if the chicken has already been cooked.
Is raw chicken OK in the fridge for 5 days?

This is why I set out to create this guide to help you store cooked chickens in their best condition. A fresh cooked meat will last longer than a frozen one. If you want to freeze a cooked bird, make sure to follow the instructions below. You can also buy frozen chicken already cooked, which is much cheaper. Frozen chicken is great for when you don’t have time to cook it. We recommend using chicken that has already been thawed before cooking. This way, you get the best result. To thaw chicken, place it in cold water for about 10 minutes. Then drain off the water, pat dry, wrap tightly in plastic wrap, put in refrigerator overnight, remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before you plan to use it (or even sooner), and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes prior to cooking any recipe.
