How Long To Cook A Chuck Roast?
Cooking food is a time-consuming activity, so it’s important that you learn what the right amount of time is to cook a certain type of dish. Choosing the right time to cook a roast or a stew is important so that it is done to perfection. If you’re cooking a roast, you’ll want to make sure that the meat is browned, but not burned. If you overcook it, you could end up with dry meat.

A chuck roast should be cooked until an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F. Cooking the chuck roast for too long could result in a tough or dry roast. For medium to large roasts, this typically takes about 30 minutes per pound. For smaller roasts, this takes about 25 minutes per pound. When cooking a roast, use a meat thermometer to determine when it is done. A good way to test the temperature of a roast is to touch the thickest part of the roast with your finger. If it feels warm to the touch, it’s close to being done. You may notice a slight crust on the outside of the roast, but that’s okay. Chuck roasts don’t need to be removed from the pan. Just let it rest for at least 10 minutes before carving.
