Freezing chicken
I’ve mentioned before that my parents are quite health conscious. They were the first ones to start cooking their own food and I think that’s why I’ve always cooked with so much enthusiasm. It was my mom who taught me how to preserve food. She would freeze it when it was done, and I used to love to help her put the chickens in the freezer. As I grew up, I began to make things like sausage and jerky. I’ve since learned that it’s important to cook food as quickly as possible. When you cook meat, you’re opening up the cells of the muscle, which means that it’s losing its flavor. This is why I learned to cook the whole chicken in a single cooking session.
