How long do you cook a roast at 350 degrees?
A bottom round steak typically requires about 15 to 20 minutes to achieve the same temperature. This is because the fat content of a beef roast is much higher than that required for top rounds. For example, top cuts of beef require about 10 percent fat while bottom cuts are only about 5 percent. Thus, cooking a bottom cut roast longer will result in less time spent in this temperature range. However, roasting a whole roast usually results in better results. To roast whole beef, you need to sear the meat first, which will reduce the amount of time needed to cook the roast.
