Pizza Hut- Quality of hiring
Yes and no. Pizza Hut will hire individuals who are willing to work hard. What they are looking for is passion, commitment, and motivation. They will not hire anyone who doesn’t show those traits. What they will not hire is someone who is lazy. They have had numerous cases where individuals are hired and do nothing. They won’t hire them and they won’t pay them. They expect individuals to work to the best of their ability.
Hiring at 15
Pizza hut has a notoriously bad track record of youth employment. Almost 30% of their employees were hired under the age of 25. This is significantly higher than the industry average of 19%. This is a serious issue and it is hard to imagine how to fix this. This study was performed on December 1, 2013. By October 2015, the restaurant chain had removed a clause in their employment agreement that would terminate the employment of hourly employees who were hired as teens.
No mistake
Since Pizza Hut is a well-known fast food restaurant, it’s not hard to imagine how many people might work there. If you’re wondering, Pizza Hut hires people as early as 15 years old. Pizza Hut’s jobs include dishwasher, line cook, drive-thru worker, and cashier. Another thing to know is that Pizza Hut hires people of all different genders and races, so no one is excluded from working there.
To young
Pizza hut hires mostly at night.
Age or experience?
In a study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, researchers examined the relationship between employee age and job performance. They looked at the hiring practices at six fast food restaurants including Pizza Hut and Dunkin’ Donuts. The study found that the average age of employees in these restaurants is 26 years. While the average age of employees is 26, this doesn’t mean that younger employees aren’t hired. In fact, the study found that there is a distinct wage gap between younger and older workers. Younger employees were paid significantly less than their older counterparts. This suggests that younger workers aren’t hired for the pay. There are many factors that can explain why there is a wage gap between younger and older workers. One of the factors is age discrimination. Older workers are more likely to be dismissed when there are more younger employees available. While there aren’t any laws that explicitly prohibit hiring older workers, some companies may be violating wage and employment laws if they don’t consider the wage gap between younger and older workers.
