Cold Brew Coffee is So good

Cold brew coffee is one of my favorite things in the world. In fact, I’ve been drinking it every day since I had my first cup a few years ago. Cold brew coffee is made by adding coffee grounds to a container with cold water. It is then left to sit in a refrigerator or even an ice chest. After this process, the coffee grounds settle to the bottom, leaving coffee oil and the flavor of the coffee to remain in the top layer. This gives cold brew coffee a complex, rich flavor that doesn’t get diluted or overtaken by other flavors as it brews. It’s also very convenient. I can brew it up in the morning, brew it while I’m running errands, or even brew it at home when I get back home. And I don’t have to worry about getting my hands on a machine or forgetting to turn it on. Simply add water and let it brew for the optimal amount of time. Or, I can go the all natural route and just add water to some of my favorite cold brew coffee ingredients.

Do you know what cold brew is?

In this cold brewed coffee recipe, we’re using a French press. French presses work by forcing cold water through a coffee filter, letting it sit for a few minutes, and then pressing the coffee out. Because we’re using a French press, we don’t have to use a keg to make this cold brew. We just pour a glass of water into the French press and wait. After it has rested for 10 minutes, we remove the filter and press down on the French press to remove the coffee.
